Bag Tree Refund and Return Policy
At Bag Tree, we take pride in crafting high-quality, made-to-order leather bags. Each item is meticulously handcrafted to your specifications, making our return and exchange policy slightly different from standard retail offerings. We kindly ask for your understanding.
1. Handmade Distinction
Our leather bags are unique works of art, resulting in slight variations in color, stitching, or texture. We use the finest materials and strive for consistency, but occasional differences may occur due to material availability. If you receive an item with a significant defect or error, we’ll gladly rectify the situation at no cost, upon approval.
2. Duty Fees & Local Taxes
Customers are responsible for any duty fees and local taxes, which may vary from country to country. If customers deny or fail to pay these fees, Bag Tree will not be responsible, and no refund or exchange can be claimed. The unreceived shipment will be destroyed locally.
Unexpected fees can ruin your shopping experience, so please check local taxes and duties beforehand for a smooth checkout!
3. Initiating a Return or Exchange
To initiate a return or exchange request, please contact us within 15 days of receiving your order. You can fill out a return form on our website.
4. Return Shipping
Bag Tree does not currently offer free returns. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
5. Return Eligibility
Unworn items with all original tags attached are eligible for return or exchange within 15 days of delivery. Returned items must be in new, sellable condition, free from damage, abuse, tears, or unpleasant odors. Items failing to meet these criteria may be rejected upon review.
We recommend using a trackable shipping service for your return, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
6. Order Changes
If you need to make changes to your order, please notify us by email within 24 hours of placing your order. Due to our fast-paced production process, changes may not be possible after this timeframe.
7. Custom Orders
Please note that **custom-made leather bags** (e.g., personalized bags or monogrammed items) are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund due to their personalized nature. Double-check your order details before confirming your custom bag.
8. Return Address and Tracking
Once your return request is approved, we will provide you with a return address. Please share the tracking details with us after dispatching your return item using a trackable service within 7 days of receiving the return authorization.
9. Exchange Processing
After receiving and inspecting your returned item, we will process your exchange and ship your new leather bag free of charge within the United States. International exchanges may incur additional charges.
10. Ineligible Returns
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
- Discontinued or final sale items.
- Sale or clearance-priced items (excluding coupon codes).
- Custom-sized items.
- Worn, used, or damaged items.
- One-of-a-kind, limited-edition, or custom-designed items.
- Returns not requested within the allotted timeframe.
- Items not returned within 15 days of delivery.
11. Sales Items
Items purchased from our “Sale Page” or discounted items are considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. Please double-check your order details before placing your order.
12. Abandoned Shipments
Customers who refuse delivery or fail to pick up their package are responsible for any lost, destroyed, or misplaced items due to negligence. Replacements will not be provided free of charge in such cases.
13. Shipping Timeframes
Please note that made-to-order items may take up to 12-15 business days (3-4 weeks for custom orders) to produce and ship. Delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.
14. Materials and Color Variations
While we strive for consistency, leather bags are subject to slight color variations. We reference photos and descriptions as closely as possible, but differences due to natural materials or camera settings may occur. Returns based solely on color variations or preferences for texture will be handled according to our standard return policy.
